This site was created as part of a collaborative project between a Plymouth College student and a University of Plymouth student, to represent the recent contractual agreement between the two facilities. The University of Plymouth student is me, Sam Waldron, and I set myself the challenge to work collaboratively with a PCAD student to produce a project that would increase their publicity and hopefully improve their career prospects as a result. Gemma Vallance is an immensely talented and outgoing individual who was the perfect choice for such a project, as she had both the ability and the ambition to benefit from it.
I myself, am coming to the end of my three year Media Arts course at the University, soon to be graduating with a BA(hons). Gemma and I worked together to produce this website in a way that would look professional, but also reflect the creativity of her work, and I think we have achieved that. In addition to the website, we also combined our skills to produce a creatively-styled video piece, demonstrating Gemma's ability on the potter's wheel, a ten minute interview piece and an innovative slideshow of her previous work.
